Info: The Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka was a Japanese military aircraft used during World War II. Also known as the “Ohka” or “Cherry Blossom,” it was designed as a kamikaze plane, meaning its mission was to crash into enemy ships and inflict maximum damage. The Ohka was a rocket-powered plane, with three solid-fueled rockets providing the necessary speed and altitude to reach its target. It was manned by a single pilot and could carry up to 1,200 pounds of explosives. Although the Ohka was a deadly weapon, it was also difficult to control and had a high mortality rate for its pilots.
