It is dedicated to the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. The church is on the new list of historical monuments under LMI code: TM-II-m-A-06277. Located two kilometers south of Curtea, in the immediate vicinity of the monastery “Izvorul Miron”, the village of Românești is documented in 1464, when it is the subject of a royal donation to the nobles Petru Dees and Nicolae Balota, in 1514-1516 is part of the domain The falcon, entering, like all the surrounding villages, in the possession of George of Brandenburg.
