More model informationA cast copper alloy zoomorphic spout from a late medieval ewer. The spout is curved with a rear end open and shaped to fit the wall of the vessel in a soldered seam from which it has broken away. The terminal is cast in the form of a dog’s head with drooping lenticular ears, lenticular eyes and brows defined by punched dots. The jaws gape around a tube which comprises the spout.
