A complete lead or lead alloy toy whirligig or buzz disc of post Medieval dating, circa AD 1600 - 1900.
The whirligig consists of a flat disc of sheet lead or lead metal alloy and has a serrated edge. There are two string holes, circular in shape and drilled from both sides.
The whirligig has been bent in places and there is a vertical line running through the lower string hole. This line is where the whirligig has been bent and since straightened. There appears to have been 29 teeth present, but several of the teeth have been folded over and worn down. The whirligig is a mid grey colour with an even surface patina.
