The object comprises of two loops of different sizes, articulated together on a pivot. The smaller loop is D-shaped in cross section and has an integrally cast axis projecting from an inverted conical collar; this axis sits within a hole in the base of the larger loop and is decorated with triangular incisions and two grooves nearer the loop. The base is decorated: there are two grooves at the top and bottom, with triangular shapes in between; the axis is decorated with a triangular centre with small, incised marks towards the edge, and flanked by straight lines. The larger loop is ovoid in cross section, and has parallel grooves on its shoulder, followed by two transverse knops, and then continues without decoration. These shapes on the larger loop create zoomorphic designs in the form of biting animal heads.
