A incomplete copper alloy composite dress hook. It consists of a back plate, sub triangular in shape, with saw-tooth edges. From each of the three corners of the backplate project three hemispherical domes.
Each dome is decorated with three filigree wire circles, two of these face away from the centre of the backplate; the one facing the centre is covered with a copper alloy disc - a rove (see below). Small spherical knops are located above and below where the outward facing filigree circles meet. In the centre of the backplate and protruding between the three domes is the flattened head of a stud, backed by the silver which it punctures slightly off-centre. The copper alloy rove has been cut to imitate flower petals.
