A complete lead or lead alloy plaque depicting a hunting scene of Post Medieval dating (AD 1700 to AD 1900).
The plaque is irregular in shape, it consists of a moulded scene depicting a winged cupid, riding a possible dragon right, blowing a hunting horn. Wings are outstretched behind. The reverse is flat.
It measures 35.7 mm in length, 50.1 mm wide and 6.2 mm thick. It weighs 26.3 g.
The plaque is a light to mid grey colour, with an even surface patina.
Winged cupids tend to be depicted in artwork during the 18th Century, therefore this plaque, a probable furniture fitting, is likely to be of that date.
