Over the past semester I was a part of the character outsource team for Journeyman. The theme this year was Fortnite, so we tried to stick to a style that was similar to that of Fortnite. Alongside being the group concept artist, I worked a long side another artist to develop the wizard character. I created the head and accessories and once my team mate had completed his blockout for the body, I was then given the pieces to put together and perform a full artpass. I took the character through the entire production pipeline; finalising the sculpt in Zbrush, retopologizing and unwrapping in Maya to then texturing in Substance Painter and implementing the model into Unreal Engine 4. The rigging and skinning were done by the animation outsource team, I then posed him myself.
