More model informationThis is a wedge tomb (CL016-061004) on Roughan Hill, the site of our ongoing archaeological project and fieldschool (www.prehistoricfieldschool.ie). It is a particularly fine and intact example with beautifuly shaped/knapped sidestones. It is evident that the builders had a very particular design in mind and that, along with the alignment, the pitch of the capstone was very important.
