Weaving "Doulappi" from Lefkara3D ModelNoAI
“Doulappi” was a traditional wooden tool used in the past by Cypriot women for thread winding. It was usually combined with another wooden tool called “anemi” which was used to wrap the threads. The “doulappi” unwound thread onto the “anemi,” which wrapped it onto reed pieces for weaving. This “doulappi”, made of white wood with a sycamore base, has a decorated wheel or “fteroti” with a cross and linear patterns.
