More model informationAn incomplete, copper alloy brooch of likely early Medieval date (c. AD 420-550). Only the head remains.
The surviving part of the head is roughly lozenge shaped with two roughly knop shaped broken protrusions on the right and bottom angles of the lozenge. Both of the lugs seem to survive on the bottom and potentially some of the spring, though this is uncertain due to it being quite corroded. There does not appear to be any surviving decoration on the brooch.
