The Wapauwe Mosque (MAHS-IDN-MLK-MLT-LHT-S-003-F-0001) is located in the village of Kaitetu on the island of Ambon, Maluku, Indonesia. A number of historical artifacts are stored in the mosque, including a distinctive mihrab, a long wooden drum used to accompany the call to prayer, and a collection of manuscripts and other objects. The wooden ornamental finial (tiang alif) that previously stood atop the mosque is preserved in the verandah outside the prayer hall.
A model of the exterior is also available on Sketchfab.
