Robot enemy made for game project “I AM” at school. This enemy was my biggest contribution to this project among some other environment props. Was responsible for design->modeling->texturing->rigging->animation. We used the game Valorant as artstyle reference.
Concepted design in Zbrush, modeling made in Maya and Zbrush, baking in Marmoset, texturing in Substance Painter.
My main focus for the design was to include a lot of triangles, to make it immidiately more menacing in its design language. As well as attempt to use contrasts and silhouette to highlight the most important aspect of the design and make it readable from a distance. Such as the blades and the neck.
For colors, I looked att complementary colors, which in this case ended up being a muted green/blue, in contrast to the red eye and details.
