If you are like me, you sometimes struggle to get shape of some mechanical parts right. Especially shape of V8 seems to be hard for most of us, have seen too many engine models that are not even close to real thing.
I made this reference/base/3D blueprint to ease that part of process. It is made after Chevy big block and TH400 transmission. Scale should be ABOUT right, not sure about that though. It is in ballpark for sure.
Use as you wish, add details, trace over it, use as it is or whatever, I don’t care. But use it, so we dont have to see another V8 engine that looks like star engine sawed half.
Parts are named correctly, making it easier to distinguish what you are modeling and searching references. Note also that cylinder heads are supposed to be offsetted in relation to eachother, you can see that if you look engine from above.
