PL: XIX wieczny ul kłodowy stojący, zwany też stojakiem, znajdujący się w Muzeum w Łowiczu. Słowo “ul” wywodzi się z czasów prasłowiańskich i oznacza wydrążenie. W polskich pasiekach ule kłodowe przeważały od średniowiecza, zastępując starsze barcie. Podobieństwo techniki i wyglądu jest tak duże, że często ule nazywano zamiennie kłodami lub barciami jeszcze w latach 50-tych XX wieku.
