More model informationLarge amorphous feature at the Tremaine Site (47-LC-95) near Holmen, Wisconsin. This feature first appeared at the Ap/BC interface (topsoil/subsoil) as a very large amorphous shaped dark stain with firecracked rock and charcoal visible in the feature fill. After removal of the initial 20 cm of feature fill it became apparent that it is in fact three adjecent circular pit features that merged at the top.
The Tremaine site is a Late Prehistoric Period Oneota Culture site circa 1300-1600 A.D. Other finds and models of excavations from other seasons at the site can be found here: https://skfb.ly/6ENFp
