More model informationThick-butted flint axe from Kastlösa parish in Öland. The thick-butted axes are common during the Neolithic and are foremost attributed to the Funnel Beaker Culture and dates to the transition from Middle Neolithic A to the Middle Neolithic B, c:a 3200-2900 BC. This axe has partially been polished, however, the sides are left as they were when knapped. Axes of this type were working axes used to cut trees and other wooden elements.
