Freya - Part of Sculptor Jackie Braitman’s “I Can Soar” series. Each piece is named after a “badd-ass” goddess. This piece is names after Freya - Norse Goddess of love, sex, beauty, fertility, war, and death.
Braitman’s work is a true marriage of today’s digital age and the craftsmanship long associated with fine art. Her work starts and finishes with handwork, But much of the creative effort lies in digital manipulation of the basic wax figure that starts the process and the final piece for which fabrication is tina naturally into an orangy-rust color. The steel will be cut using a computer controlled laser cutter.
The piece is designed for Corten, Self-Weathering Steel at 84” tall x 71” wide x 36” tall. If you purchase before fabrication starts, you can customize size and material to some extent.
