The bath complex (hammam) consisted of a cold room (frigidarium), two warm rooms (tepidaria)two hot rooms for steam heating (caldaria), two furnaces and a latrine (Flushing toilets). The two warm rooms could be accessed through a door in the western exedra of the hall. These rooms were equipped with benches along all four walls and were used for a rest before hot bath. The walls, the floor and the benches were finished with marble slabs. The floors of the two hot rooms have collapsed and the under-floor mechanism of heating “hypocaust” is now exposed. The floor was supported with short brick piers laid in rows and covered with basalt slabs or large bricks. Hot air from the hypocaust was carried up along the walls through pottery piped and covered with a marble finish.
