Here is my first sculpted, retopologized, and textured character! A stone golem based on concept art from the talented Thiago Almeida on ArtStation! (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/06By4). This project was not meant to be a 1-to-1 recreation of the conecpt but I followed the concept as best as I could while learning Zbrush.
Becuase of my financial situation, I used Blender instead of Maya, so this was also my first time using Blender to retoplogize (as well as my first time retopologozing) and I think it came out pretty well! The UV maps are not as good as I wanted, as I am most familiar with Maya’s UV mapping tools. I wanted to use this project to learn UDIM’s in Maya, but I settled for using 1 material for the golem, and another for the emmisive eyes.
Disclaimer: Textures used on this model were downloaded from the Substance Asset Libray from Isabell Lammens, Lennart Demes, John Logostini, Julio Evangelista , and Wesly McDermott (https://substance3d.adobe.com/community-assets).
