More model informationThis mystery wreck lies in 85 feet of freshwater off Magnuson Park, in Lake Washington. It’s a beautiful little wooden boat of totally unknown heritage. The painted name on the bow is almost entirely peeled off, leaving little more than a vague guess about what the letters may have been.
She’s in excellent condition, with only minor damage in a few spots. The engine and propeller are missing, as well as all furnishings from inside the cabin. There’s also a large chunk of hull missing from the starboard bow, near the waterline. So it’s extremely likely this was intentionally scuttled – a common practice in the region before environmental rules changed.
