Something big and terrifying is coming this way, able to make even the world itself shatter What could be looming above the characters? (spoiler: it’s the VR Giant viewer) I wanted to shift the scene from a peaceful one to a watchful, silent horror.
Created a base lightning to darken the scene and create the menacing fucshia directional-light
water uses it’s own texture as emitter and difusse light, fucshia specular light and surface scattering to create a shifting-colour gradient Floor uses it’s own texture as a displacement map to create cracks
characters have a slight surface scattering and tinted their eyes to reflect the fucshia light
finally the whole scene uses DoF, Sharpness and chromatic aberration to emphasize the uneasy feeling and SSAO to help the shadows a bit
