More model informationThe Perthshire Natural History Museum opened in 1883 on Tay Street in Perth.
The museum purchased over ninety of these high quality and larger than life size models of flowers, mosses and fungi around 1900. They were made by Robert & Reinhold Brendel in Berlin, Germany.
The displays were intended to show animals, plants and microbes in sufficient detail so as to be useful to students.
