More model informationShabtis like this would have been mass produced in ancient Egypt after the New Kingdom. These figures worked on behalf of their owner if they needed to carry out manual labour in the afterlife. Sometimes, over 400 shabtis would be placed in a single tomb, one worker shabti for each day of the year and overseer figures to supervise them.
