Here is my first ever finished helmet model!
I designed this peice and overall look based on a hybrid mix of Destiny meets Halo. I found that a simple mantis- insect like appearance kept the form of the helmet grounded, with simple plate components making up the surface of the helmet. My design philosophy follows a full face covering with exposed rear giving the operators neck full range of motion. This peice also features an interior with padding throughout the surface where an operators face contacts meet with a visor that displays outside visuals (note, this 3D model does not actually display what is outside the helmet, this is just design theory).
This was somthing I developed as a solo school assignment while I was still attending Lake Washing Institute of Technology, big thanks to my instructors for my new found 3D skillset!
