More model informationThe Schurenbach spoil tip was used to store excavated material of the Zollverein mine until its closure in 1986 and of other coal mines until the mid-1990s. The pile was then renaturalised and converted into a landscape monument where the sculpture Bramme by the American artist Richard Serra, erected in 1998, remains as a landmark. The Schurenbach pile is part of the Route of Industrial Heritage and is due to become part of the 2027 International Garden Exhibition.
The airborne lidar is provided as open access from the Spatial Data portal of North Rhine-Westphalia and was cleaned, colored, segmented, downsampled, as a point cloud model with cloud compare.
