More model informationJaume Valls (1534-1560). Tomb located in the chapter house of the monastery of Santes Creus, Catalonia. He continued the improvement works of the abbot Tolrà and had the bridge built over the Gaià. Abbot Valls wears an abbey chasuble, gloves and a ring. The staff, adorned with the characteristic veil we mentioned before, has the curved shape of the church of the West (in the East, staffs finished in a tau shape are used) and is supported on the right shoulder. The head rests on an unadorned pillow. The miter was adorned, but the details can hardly be guessed. The family crest is between the two feet. The funerary inscription is preserved in its entirety. The position of the figure is completely frontal. Source: patrimonifunerari.cat
