Once upon a time, there was a pumpkin that was left to rot in the fields. As the pumpkin rotted away, strange things began to happen in the fields. The air grew thick with an eerie silence, and the animals that once roamed freely in the area disappeared without a trace. The farmers who tended to the fields reported hearing strange noises at night, like whispers on the wind or footsteps in the darkness. One night, a farmer decided to investigate the source of these noises. He followed them to the spot where the pumpkin lay rotting in the fields. As he approached, he saw that something was moving inside the pumpkin. Something alive. The pumpkin split open from within, revealing a writhing mass of maggots and worms that had been feasting on its decaying insides. The creatures swarmed over him, devouring him alive. From that day on, no one dared to venture into those fields at night. They say that if you listen closely, you can still hear the whispers of the pumpkin’s victims carried on the wind.
