More model informationThe goal of this project was to further my proficiency in photogrammetry and develop a suitable workflow in order to produce an optimised finished asset. The subject of the scan was a flower pot containing the remains of a rose, the shoot was an outdoor handheld shoot and a data set of 211 photos were taken with 202 being used to generate the final scan in Meshroom.
Clean-up/optimisation as well as retopology and custom UV’s was achieved in Maya. Final texture creation was done using a combination of Photoshop and normal map baking in Substance Painter. Originally scan mesh was 3.8mil tris with eight materials each with one 8K texture atlas, final optimised model is 13.9K polygons with one material and three 4K Textures.
