This is 1 of 4 living species of Hyracoidea. Found in elevations of 13,800 feet, they forage as a group from 10 to 80. Known as a pest because they host the leishmaniasis parasite, this species is not endangered. Closest living relative is the elephant.
Steinbok-Animal behind rocks peaking over. This solitary antelope can go for a long time without drinking water by eating juicy grasses, tubers, leaves and fruits. Ears are large with finger marks on the inside. Known to zigzag to shake off a predator when running once escaped they are known to take refuge with Aardvarks.
