A large boulder found in Rivock Plantation, towards the SW edge of Rombalds Moor, West Yorkshire.
This rock measures approximately 2m x 1.5m x0.5m and up until April 2012 had been beneath the canopy of a 1970s plantation. Unfortunately, some damage occurred during the harvesting process in April 2012. Glades have now been created around the Rivock panels, so they shouldn’t be impact by future harvesting.
Motifs consist of fairly well preserved cups, rings and grooves scattered about the surface. At least one cup utilises a slight raise, giving the impression of a ring. Peck marks are visible in many motifs.
Recorded as IAG65 in ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’ and added to ERA by CSI:RM as Rivock 21.
