More model informationThis is a rim from a ceramic vessel with a cord-marked design. This design was made by wrapping a wood paddle with cordage, then pressing the paddle into the unfired clay. Although only a fragment from the original vessel, because this is a rim sherd it helps with diagnostics, temporal assignation, and with understanding the morphology and shape of the vessel. This sherd was recovered from archaeological excavations at the Anderson Mound (Jungle Prada site), St. Petersburg, Florida.
