Rescue excavation (Mušov-Burgstall)3D Model
In 2009 was conducted a large-scale (almost 4 hectares) archaeological field excavation on the SE slopes of Hradisko at Mušov (Mušov - Burgstall) due to planned construction of amusement park Aqualand Moravia. Accordingly with results of previous geophysical prospection was excavated double line of sizable fortification structures (V-shape ditches), which can be associated with the Roman military presence in the location during the Marcomannic wars. Along with it was uncovered almost complete ground plan of large military camp building (valetudinarius - hospital) and also skeletal grave which possibly represents only anthropological remains of the Roman presence. Besides also number of various objects and features from multiple periods from Prehistory and Protohistory were recorded and excavated.
