More model information3D model shows the remains of the deposit of a Roman altar which was linked to the rites of the eastern cultures of the native empire. Those rites were like a blood form, the so-called taurobolia, i.e. the sacrifice of a bull in honour of the god Myrtle. The altar was created at the turn of the 2nd and 3rd centuries, and in that period the paving of the forum began, so the column was raised to a higher level, which allowed the blood to flow, but also made it easier to clean the area after the ritual. The blood would flow through a cut groove to a pit that was almost two meters deep. The altar had a square floor plan and it was located on a stone base.
