Roman thymiaterion with dedication inscription. The incense bowl with serrated rim stands on an altar-shaped base with half-plastic eagles at its corners. The support ring for the bowl is carried by four dolphins pointing downward. The altar shaft is inscribed with the dedicatory inscription of Lucius Messius, a benefactor from the staff of the governor, addressed to “Dominus”. Consecrations to Dominus (often accompanied by Domina) are known several times from Dacia and Pannonia, as well as from an altar from Carnuntum. Bronze; h 22,1 cm; dm 18,5 cm
