I often see models on the website that interest me. I really want to add it to my game project. But upon closer check the models, I found most of them were not suitable for inclusion in game.
For example, some models have a very high faces, some models have UVs that are spread out, which wastes texture space, etc.
Recently I tried to practice tuning some models.
I don’t really like manual modeling because it’s always very straight and stiff, and when drawing textures you always have to think about which layer of color is on top of another.
I think the fun of scanning is to retain some natural wear and tear flaws. You don’t need to pursue it to be very standard. As long as it makes you feel happy physically and mentally at a certain moment when you observe it, that is a very awesome work.
