More model informationQueen’s House, Maritime Greenwich. A section through Queen’s House (Inigo Jones 1616-ca1636) and the eastern and western colonnades (Daniel Alexander 1809-11) looking south. This section shows the colonnades and the enclosed roadway dividing the two ranges of Queen’s House as one spatially episodic sequence, clearly showing the relationship between Queen’s House, the central, east and west bridges and the colonnades. These scans were made immediately before the restoration of the colonnade paving and the restorers notations on the paving marked to be restored can be seen in red paint. The colonnades were built to form covered playgrounds for denizens of the Royal Naval Asylum.
