Yeah, not an especially creative nor needed object to share, but this was a test of Qlone, so I went with somethign handy. I used a makeshift turn-table which made it pretty easy to find the sweet spot for scanning and just ortate the object and keep the iPhone 12 stationary. I think with a more work on the setup where the iPhone iws on a tripod and the turntable is a little more satble so a nice slow steady ritation can be used, this could be a very effiient capture tool. Of the ones I have tried so far, this one has been the best for objects. All of the others seemed geared more for rooms. You print out the mat in whatever size suites the object’s size and place it. It is pretty intuitive once you work with it for a few minutes and realize you are working to get the blue globe to appear around the object. If you want to give it a try, realize that you only get movie, animated gif, or static image export for free. You need to buy it to get the 3D exports. It is less than $20 right now.
