More model informationDesigned in the early 30’s at the Polish Aviation Works, the P11 proved an exceptionally capable fighter for that era. Unfortunately, the rapid evolution of airframes and engines, coupled with limited R&D budget of the young Polish state meant it was kept as the main fighter until 1939, by which it proved woefully outmatched by more modern monoplanes like the Bf109.
The livery is of the last existing P.11 from Kraków Aviation Museum, which survived the war as part of Goering’s airplane collection.
Many thanks to M. Masalski of Polskie Samoloty Historyczne foundation for providing a wealth of reference data for the model.
