A Poké Ball is a device or object designed to fulfill two basic functions in the Pokémon world, storing and transporting Pokémon, making it possible to catch Pokémon.
Poké Balls are possibly the most distinctive symbol of the Pokémon franchise. In addition, in the Pokémon world it is also common to find references to these devices, from combat stadiums with their circular shape, to as a decoration element on walls and floors. The symbol of the Poké Balls, also very present, consists of two semicircles separated by the middle, with another complete circle in the middle, which represents the opening button.
Despite the different types, all Poké Balls are spherical in shape, hence their name. These are divided into two halves, which are usually of different colors, the lower one being normally white. These two parts are separated by a generally black central section in which the button with which the Poké Ball is opened is located.
