Pierre d’Évreux-Navarre wears a tabard (short coat) decorated with his coat of arms over his armour. Catherine d’Alençon, with juvenile features, wears a dress, surcoat (outer garment), pleated cloak, belt, chain and widow’s headdress. Married in 1411, she commissioned this double tomb at the death of her husband. Neverthelesss, she outlived him by 50 years and was buried with her second husband in the church of Sainte-Geneviève in Paris.
