Size: 10.4 x 9.1 x 3.9 cm
Formula: Calcite - CaCO3; Quartz - SiO2
Description: This specimen represents stacked Calcite rhombohedrons (parallel growth), named ‘pagodas’, due to the similarity with Japanese pagodas (historically derive from the Chinese pagoda). Furthermore, several smoky quartz crystals with prismatic habit are enclosed within Calcite pagodas (stacked rhombohedrons). Theoretical parallel growth of rhombohedral Calcite (https://skfb.ly/6WZEy).
