Resort shelter - one of the remnants after famous German spa from the XiX century, called “Saxon warmth”. Currently in the town of Opolno Zdroj in Poland’s Lower Silesia. Series of “3D scans of Opolno Zdroj”, is on the one hand an attempt to save the memory of the former splendor of the village. On the other hand, it’s a cry for help for the residents of the village due to the destructive role of PGE Turów - the largest open-pit lignite coal mine in Europe. Opolno Zdrój borders the open-pit, has been partially seized by the Mines, and most importantly, further expansion and displacement of female/ male residents is planned within the next year.
How can you help? Read up on the history of the village, visit it, and if you would like to support in any way the efforts of the mayor looking after Opolno Zdroj, write on priv.
