It was the final project of the school year, and we were all excited to get started. Our theme for the project was the USSR, and we had been tasked with creating a realistic 3D model of an old PC used in the Soviet Union. These computers, which were made of fictive coal battery, were used to power computers in the USSR.
We began by conducting extensive research on the design and history of these pc. We studied various images and documents to gain a deep understanding of their appearance and use. With this information in hand, we set to work on creating our 3D model. We used Maya to carefully construct the various parts of the computer, paying attention to the details and proportions.
Once our 3D model was complete, it was time to add some color and detail. We used Substance Painter to create realistic materials for the different parts of the old pc, such as metal, plastic, and coal. This process required us to carefully experiment with different textures and settings to achieve the desired result.
