More model informationThis beaker was produced in the New Forest and dates to the last century of Roman Britain. Its unusual shape is as it is a waster, the beaker slumped during producting leading to this unusual shape. The indents along the side function as areas to grip the cup. The beaker was found at Roman Clausentum (Bitterne Manor)
The cup has been laser scanned as part of a collaborative project between Southampton Cultural Services and the Department of Archaeology at the University of Southampton.
