My intention with my first diorama was to do something more elaborate than I was used to, but simple enough that I would be able to complete it to my satisfaction. I decided to go for a PBR approach instead of hand painted, because I wanted to practice working with Zbrush and normal map baking. Even so, I tried my best to maintain the stylized feel of the concept.
During the process I learned a lot about workflow and technical issues (by making many MANY mistakes) and I also got more familiar with the softwares, which were my main learning goals for this project.
There’s still a long way for me to go, but I am happy with the results :)
