More model informationManx Crosses 50 (Left) & 81 (Right, the number is upside down). Both of these cross slabs were discovered in 1906, cross 50 had been reused in a burial close to the church while cross 81 was reused as a lintel within the structure of the church. Cross 50 is considered to be of unusual design and dates to the 8th-9th Century. Cross 81 is broken, all that survives is a very worn shaft carved in relief.
Situated inside at the east end of St Runius church, Marown, Isle of Man. This church is also known as ‘Marown Old Church’ because it ceased to be the parish church in 1853.
