More model informationMaeshowe (or Maes Howe) is a spectacular Neolithic chambered tomb in Orkney, Scotland. It was constructed around 5000 years ago from enormous slabs of quarried stone. The interior was finished by pick dressing surfaces and incising decoration. The site is also known for its runic inscriptions, carved when Viking broke through the roof.
