A four-poster stone circle on a small mound, which is shared by an ever growing and increasingly dominant oak tree. However, its a lovely setting and one of the best four-posters around. There’s a cup marked stone close, another standing stones and much clearance material in the vicinity suggesting that there was were more prehistoric monuments here remaining up to the non too distant past.
The site was difficult to photograph for modelling and the original model came out with lots of artifacts and strange additions on it as there was lots of vegetation and ill-defined ground surfacwhich confused the modelling software and took much careful trimming. The final, very much pared-down, model gives at least an idea of the configuration of the stones but can’t do anything like justice to the actual site.
