More model informationA wee experiment to work out the workflow from 3D scanned image to usable asset. I first took around 40 pictures of my sofa, threw them in Meshroom, and did all the clean-up, retopologising, and texture baking in Blender.
Didn’t take that long in the end, around 2 hours discounting render and processing time, but ideally if this were an actual game asset I would have touched up a lot of the images and sort the lighting out from the start, but hey this was a test really!
OG scan: 484,592 polys Processed: 844 polys (around 600 really, but I added a base to it for some reason.) :p
